Preparing the ground

The HayGroup conducted a study into good practice in identifying and nurturing school leaders of the future. The results of the research emphasised that all schools need to take a proactive stance in talent development, or risk a leadership recruitment crisis.

Questions asked in the study included:

What does succession planning look like outside education?
How do other organisations tackle this issue?
What does good practice look like in both public and private sectors?
What can schools learn from the practice of others?
